While on active duty at the Pentagon, Christy managed the Air Force's media training program, coaching CEO-level spokespeople throughout the Department of Defense. She pitched Air Force stories to national media and secured substantial positive coverage on major news programs including NBC Nightly News, ABC's Good Morning America, CNN's American Morning and FOX & Friends. She also advised executive leadership on public relations policy and developed strategic communications strategies for crisis situations. Christy is a veteran and continues to work as a public relations officer in the Air Force Reserve.

As a news reporter, Christy interviewed thousands of people from all walks of life on topics including politics, business, medicine, education and law. She worked on-air at radio and TV stations in New York, Georgia and North Carolina. Christy has a B.A. in Journalism from the University of South Carolina.
